Installing Nava Certus

1- Prerequisites

- Hardware Prerequisites

  • At least 4 Processors (1.8 GHz or faster).
  • 8 GB of RAM.
  • 2 GB of available hard-disk space on drive “C:”.
  • Additionally, consider for 20 MB of database storage per each 1000 files planned to migrate.
  • It is preferred to dedicate a server to Nava Certus application.

- Software Prerequisites

  • Supported OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows, Server 2008 SP2, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016
  • Microsoft .NET Framework: 4.6.2 or higher (with all available updates)
  • Even though configurable, it is recommended for the application to use its default port for communication: 42303.

2- Pre-Installation Tasks

If you already have the previous version of NavaCertus installed, you need to uninstall it first.

  1. Go to ControlPanel>Programs>Programs and Features
  2. Locate Nava Certus, right-click on it and select Uninstall in the pop-up menu.
  3. Confirm that you agree to uninstall it and wait until uninstallation finishes.
  4. Open “C:\Program Files (x86)\Nava Solutions\Nava Certus” folder in file explorer and remove any “*.exe.config” files you find.

3- Installing Nava Certus

Obtain the installation file and save it to the computer where the component will run. Double-click the corresponding NCSetup.msi file to start the application wizard. You will be prompted to install the following prerequisite component, if you are missing it:

- Microsoft .Net Framework 4.6.2. Follow the installation steps. As soon as the components are installed, the NCSetup.msi will be run and Nava Certus installation will begin.

The steps to install Nava Certus are fairly simple. To do so:

1. Obtain the installation file and save it to the computer where Nava Certus will run. Double-click the file to start the application wizard.

2. On the first installation page that appears click Next.

 3. On the next page read the license agreement, and if you agree check “I accept the terms in the License Agreement” box and click Next.

 4. On the next page (Custom Setup) just click Next, then Install.

 5. Installation will begin. After it finishes you are ready to use Nava Certus.

After finishing with installation, you can may proceed with performing post-installation tasks, to enable advanced features.
